Oil thieves caught in Stavropol Territory and Dagestan

 

Spokesman of the Interior Ministry Andrey Pilipchuk said that a gang responsible for stealing over 720 tons of oil products from containers in the energy complex of the North Caucasian Federal District, sold for 10 million rubles, has been caught, ITAR-TASS reports.Investigators started monitoring the gang in September. Tie-ins connected to oil pipelines and containers were documented. Pilipchuk said that stolen fuel was shipped to refineries in the region using fake documents. Petroleum was then sold using a special network of gasoline stations.A criminal case was initiated. 8 members of the gang were taken into custody. Four other members were identified. The police are searching for them.
