PACE is interested in Georgian constitutional amendments

CE members expressed interest in the public discussions of the
Georgian constitutional amendments this summer. Avtandil
Demetrashvili, head of the state commission for the Constitution,
informed the CE committee for legal issues and human rights about the
results of discussions, Georgia Online reports.


He said that the work on amendments had started long ago and was ready
for discussion. There were meetings with all groups of society in all
regions of the country, he added.


The head of the parliamentary legal committee, Pavle Kublashvili,
emphasized that the process of public discussions had been prolonged
by two months.
