Russia bans import of Polish fruits and vegetables The Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Control has prohibited the import of fruits and vegetables from Poland. "We have adopted the decision to impose restrictions on the import of almost all fruits and vegetables from Poland to Russia," the head of Rosselkhoznadzor, Alexei Alexeenko said, RIA Novosti reports. Earlier this week it was reported that by the end of the week the Russian services may decide to impose restrictions on the import of fruits from the European Union to Russia.
