Ilham Aliyev believes US can contribute to resolution of Karabakh conflict

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has congratulated his US counterpart Barack Obama on his 53rd birthday. In his letter Ilham Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan believes the United States can contribute to a successful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

"We hope that the United States, the US co-chair of the OSCE MInsk Group and you, Mister President, can take certain steps to liberate the occupied territories of Azerbaijan and resolve the Karabakh conflict," the letter reads.
