Russia to increase imports of vegetables and fruits from Turkey

Sergey Dankvert, the head of Russia’s Rosselkhoznadzor, and Nikhat Pakdil, an official of the Turkish Ministry for Agriculture, will discuss increasing imports of vegetables and fruits to Russia at a meeting on Friday, RIA Novosti reports.

Rosselkhoznadzor has restricted imports of vegetables and fruits from Poland. 8.7% of vegetable imports and 7.8% of fruit imports in Russia in 2013 arrived from Poland.
