Georgian army to become professional in three years

 

Georgian Defense Minister Irakly Alasania said that the army was switching from conscription to contracts and will accomplish the process in 2017, Georgia Online reports.The number of conscripts is dropping gradually, according to the minister. It has already been reduced by 2,000 people, compared with the previous year.
