There are 1000 servicewomen in Azerbaijan, minister says

There are some 1000 servicewomen in Azerbaijan, the country's Minister of Defense, Colonel Vagif Dargyakhly says. They mainly serve as medical assistants and secretaries, as well as in the intelligence and signal corps, the official says.

Some female soldiers serve on the Azerbaijani-Armenian front line, the minister of defense says.
