LUKoil does not plan to buy BP assets

LUKoil, the largest Russian private oil company, has not received any
offers from BP to buy its assets, the head of LUKoil Vagit Alekperov
said today, RIA Novosti reports.

He also reported that he is negotiating on prolonging a cooperation
agreement with 'Gazprom'.

They are discussing gas supplies of 'Gazprom' to the company. LUKOIL
had a meeting with the head of 'Gazprom' Alexey Miller on the issue on
September 14.
