Iosif Diskin: “New opportunities will open for the Caucasus”

A member of Russia's Public Chamber, the Public Council at the Russian Ministry of the Economy and National Strategy Council, Professor Iosif Diskin, talked to Vestnik Kavkaza about the new opportunities for the republics of the North Caucasus in the context of the embargo on EU goods. A new packet of sanctions of the EU against Russia came into operation on August 1st. On August 6th, 2014, the President of Russia called for the interests of domestic producers to be provided for in the context of the EU and the USA’s sanctions against Russia. The government is developing a list of goods which will be forbidden to import into Russia.
