Restrictions imposed on western products don't violate WTO regulations, Putin says

Russian President Vladimir Putin stresses that Russia's ban on western products does not violate the regulations of the World Trade Organization (WTO), RIA Novosti reports on Thursday.

"In the agreement we signed with the WTO we specified that we have a right to impose certain restrictions on other countries, if it is essential to the country's security," the Russian president is quoted as saying.
