Armenia and Georgia discuss energy cooperation

Armenian and Georgian Energy Ministers Yervand Zakharyan and Kakha Kaladze have met in Yerevan. Zakharyan noted that increase of power transit from 200 to 700MW was one of the most important goals of energy programs. The new 400-KW power line is capable of achieving the goal, Armenia Today reports.Zakharyan discussed readiness of Georgia to assist Armenia in accidents around the transit gas pipeline and Armenia’s compensation of power cuts in Georgia. Kaladze thanked Armenia for cooperation and pointed out good potential for their further development.
