South Ossetia closes border with Georgia

The South Ossetian authorities have decided to close the republic's border with Georgia until August 27, Interfax reports. The decision has been made in order to secure a successful celebration of the anniversary of the recognition of South Ossetia's independence by Russia, the news agency informs.
