Chechen leader to prevent under-aged marriages in republic

Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov said at a meeting with Mufti Salah Mejoyev that clerics should be more active in preventing marriages of under-aged people in the republic, RIA Novosti reports.

Kadyrov noted that such marriages had a negative impact on children. He reminded that clerics had eradicated the tradition of bride-kidnapping.
