Former head of Russian State Social University beaten by unknown people

Today the former rector of the Russian State Social University, Vasily Zhukov, was seriously assaulted. Two unknown people attacked Zhukov in Moscow's Sokolniki Park, where the former rector was visiting a sports center.

Interfax reports that nothing is known about Zhukov’s health at the moment.

Vasily Zhukov is an RAS academician, an Honoured Scientist of Russia and a winner of the Russian government prize for education.
