Abkhaz president says no direct proposals came from GeorgiaAbkhazia has not received any specified proposals on setting up direct dialogue from Georgia, Abkhazia’s President-Elect Raul Khadzhimba said Wednesday in an exclusive interview with ITAR-TASS.Khadzhimba won early presidential elections that were held on Sunday.“Only the so-called Geneva floor exists today and it’s there that the two sides discuss all the crucial problems there,” Itar Tass quotes him as saying.“We need security guarantees but unfortunately we don’t have any, except the empty phases on preparedness to talk to us... We’d like Georgia to realize finally that the independent Abkhazia’s existence is a fact of reality,” he said, stressing the importance Georgia’s reconciling with it and signing an agreement on the non-use of force, which would put bilateral relations on a positive track," Itar-Tass quotes him.
