Over 10 trucks blocked on border of North Ossetia and Kabardino-Balkaria

14 trucks are blocked on the border of North Ossetia and Kabardino-Balkaria waiting to pass the Verkhny Lars Checkpoint that had been closed down after a mudslide on the Georgian Military Road in the Darial Gorge on August 20. 9 Ukrainians and 5 Georgians are waiting for it to open. The road was cleared on August 22.

A tent was pitched for the truck drivers. They were recommended to take the Azerbaijani route to Georgia.

Two people died in the mudslide.
