Lavrov and Moallem discuss situation in Syria

 

Lavrov and Moallem discuss situation in SyriaToday a telephone conversation took place between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Syrian counterpart Walid Muallem. The subject of the discussion was the resolution of the situation in Syria. "Lavrov and Moallem stressed that the bloody armed conflict in Syria has no military solution and can only be resolved by political and diplomatic means," RIA Novosti reports quoting the Russian Foreign Ministry. The ministers also discussed the Syrian events in the context of the advance of militants from ISIS.
