Ukrainian parliament to declare state of military emergency in Donbass

 

Some members of the Ukrainian parliament have prepared a message for President Petro Poroshenko to declare military emergency in the Luhansk and the Donetsk oblasts, as stated by Oleh Tyagnybok, the leader of the Freedom nationalistic party, RIA Novosti reports.The parliament is having a closed session to discuss the situation in Donbass today. Law-enforcing authorities, ministers headed by Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk are taking part in the talks.Tyagnibok said that closed session of the parliament were inefficient and law enforcers were giving incomplete information about the situation in Ilovaysk (Donetsk Oblast).MP Anatoly Gritsenko said earlier that the parliament was not planning to consider declaration of the state of military emergency.
