The Minister of Defence of Israel is in Baku for the first time

 

Israeli defense minister Moshe Yaalon has arrived in Azerbaijan today on an official visit, for the purpose of participation in the opening of the Israeli pavilion at the First International Exhibition of the Defense Industry ADEX-2014, organized in Baku on the initiative of the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan. But everyone understands that actually the background of the visit is much wider. During a conversation with the correspondent of "Vestnik Kavkaza", a adviser to the Israeli defense minister reported that Moshe Yaalon has already carried out an "extremely fruitful and important historical meeting" with Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev. The visit schedule also includes meetings of the Israeli guest with the Minister of Defence of Azerbaijan Zakir Gasanov, Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedjyarov and other members of the government of the republic. Then Moshe Yaalon will attend the First International Exhibition of the Defense Industry of ADEX-2014 in Baku and will meet members of the local Jewish community. Tomorrow the First International ADEX 2014 Exhibition begins work in Baku, in which Azerbaijan intends to present the modern products of the defense industry made in the republic. Also in the expositions will be shown products of the leading producers of arms from around the world - 200 companies from 34 countries. According to the deputy minister of the defense industry of the republic, Yahya Musayev, the exhibition will become an effective platform for demonstration of the potential of the Azerbaijani defense industry.
