The NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai expressed his satisfaction with the results of the Wales summit, the APA agency reports.

According to him, though there were arguments about the final statement regarding Georgia, every one shared same position.

“All NATO members think that Georgia should join the alliance and this country will absolutely reach its goal. However, this should happen in a short period. NATO members believe Georgia has all the elements for joining the alliance. At the same time, the national annual program and the NATO-Georgia commission are already a new package for cooperation. This package will accelerate Georgia to join the alliance,” Appathurai added.
