Margvelashvili invites the Pope to Georgia

Georgian President Georgy Margvelashvili has invited Pope Francis to visit the country. The invitation was transferred at a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Vatican, Dominic Mamberti.During the meeting the parties also considered topical issues of relations between Georgia and the Vatican, having emphasized the importance of their further development. Margvelashivili thanked Mamberti for the Vatican's support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia. Mamberti noted that the Vatican highly appreciates friendly relations with Georgia and is sure they will continue, Trend reports.
