Ukraine’s Donetsk and Luhansk gain special status

277 out of 450 members of the Ukrainian parliament have voted for President Petro Poroshenko’s bill granting the Donbass and Luhansk oblasts a special status. Leader of the Freedom Party Oleh Tyagnibok said that 287 out of 450 voted for the bill freeing participants of the war in the two districts from persecution.
