Baku public transportation to launch electronic ticket systems

 

Azerbaijani Deputy Transportation Minister Musa Panakhov said today that Baku will launch an electronic ticket system for public transportation, Trend reports.Special cards will be sold for the Baku Metro and then the taxi.Cards have only been used at the Baku Metro so far. The new system will allow passengers to use cards on other types of ground transportation. Negotiations with companies ready to take up realization of the system are coming to a conclusion, according to Panakhov.
