Criminal case initiated against head of Dagestan's Derbentsky District

A criminal case was initiated against Kurban Kurbanov, the head of the Derbentsky District of Dagestan, on September 16 after a prosecutor's inspection, according to Tatyana Golubova, the senior assistant prosecutor of the republic, Interfax reports.

According to investigators, the official illegally granted about 57 hectares of land belonging to the Khazarsky Rural Council to some individuals for personal use.
