Obama refuses to make Ukraine non-NATO ally

U.S. President Barack Obama has refused to grant Ukraine status of a non-NATO ally, despite the request of President Petro Poroshenko, RIA Novosti reports.

Obama noted that the level of cooperation between the U.S. and Ukraine was above expectations and requirements of a non-NATO ally.
