Peskov says Russian Security Council hasn't discussed shutting Russian Federation off from the internet

 

As reported earlier, at a meeting of the Security Council of Russia with the participation of the president a discussion was planned of the question of strengthening the security of the Russian internet in conditions of emergency situations. On Friday September 19 the head of the Ministry of Telecommunications Nikolay Nikiforov reported that the government isn't discussing the question of shutting Russia off from the Internet, however it is studying a plan for measures in case it is shut off from the outside.
