Eight football referees are arrested in Georgia

 

In Georgia eight football referees have been arrested, the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.Among them are four referees at national level – Flocks X. Irakli U., Mamuka U. and Taimuraz H., two referees at first level – Alexander G. and Zviad A. and an assistant to a referee at national level Onise M. and referee of FIFA Tornike G.According to the investigators, they told interested persons how many yellow and red cards they intended to show during certain matches, for which they received from $2500 to $5000.
