Matthew Brayza becomes US ambassador to Azerbaijan

The US Senate has approved Matthew Brayza, the former co-chair of the
OSCE Minsk Group and former deputy of the US Secretary of State for
Europe and Eurasia, as the US ambassador to Azerbaijan, Voice of
America reports.

The post in Azerbaijan was vacant for a year.

US congressmen Solomon Ortiz, Michael McMahon, Michael Conaway, Bill
Shuster, Sue Myrick, Shelley Moore Capito sent a letter to the
Congress supporting Brayza's candidature for the post.
