80 years of the Diplomatic Academy

On September 18 the Bolshoi Theater hosted celebrations dedicated to the anniversary of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry. In little more than 80 years this school has trained more than 8,000 professional diplomats and 700 ambassadors. Academy graduates hold senior positions in the highest public offices. The Federation Council Speaker, Valentina Matviyenko, is among the graduates of the Diplomatic Academy. Forecasting and modeling of international relations, analytical development, helping to effectively defend the position of the Russian Federation in the world are only a few of the tasks of the Diplomatic Academy. Political figures, ambassadors and diplomats came to congratulate the academy.
