Federation Council of Russia ratifies Eurasian Economic Union Treaty

140 members of the Federation Council of Russia have ratified the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty. Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko called it a historic event, ITAR-TASS reports.

The document was signed by the presidents of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus on May 29, 2014.
