Kadyrov named most popular regional leader in Russia

Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov has been named the most popular Russian regional leader, according to Birzhevoy Lider magazine. The rating was composed in August and consists of 82 regional leaders.

Yandex registered 168,437 Kadyrov search requests in August. Analysts say that such popularity is a result of his actions and speeches. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin is ranked second (42,227 search requests), Governor of the Samara Region third (40,740).

Kadyrov is one of the top three regional leaders with the best internet PR.
