Head of Mineralniye Vody resigns

Constantine Gamayunov, the head of Mineralniye Vody and the Mineralovodsky District, has resigned. Many MPs do not think that he is responsible for the fight on September 20. His resignation will be followed by dissolution of local lawmakers, TASS reports.

The fight in Mineralniye Vody started at a café. The people injured in the fight went to a hospital. About 30 men broke into the medical center and beat up the injured men. One of them later died, other patients and medics were injured as well.

The police chief of Mineralovodsky District and three of his deputies lost their jobs. Mineralniye Vody Chief Administrator Ivan Ostapenko, Acting Head of the Committee for Nationalities and Cossacks Alexander Yakushev and Chief Doctor of the Mineralniye Vody Central District Hospital Roman Lifenko were fired.
