Russian prosecutors want federal quotas for foreign workers
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaRussian Deputy Prosecutor General Victor Grin said that his colleagues have come up with the idea of federal quotas for foreign workers. In his words, the existing system is ineffective and does not recognize the priority of the native population in employing workers, TASS reports.
The federal quotas will be a fixed number of jobs for migrants, adjusted according to needs. Grin added that prosecutors will activate in punishing employers hiring foreign workers illegally. He noted that most such employers evade punishment. Fines reach 800,000 rubles for employers and 2,000-5,000 rubles for individuals.
