Pentagon chief urges soldiers to be ready to face Russian army

US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said yesterday that demands posed by the Russian army will become more complicated and diverse. He warned the US military that they will have to face a modern and combat-ready Russian army on NATO's doorstep.

Hagel does not expect a conflict in the near future, but believes that it may happen in the next decade or century.
