Abkhazia gathers Security Council after attack on vice-president

Abkhaz President Sergey Bagapsh is gathering the country's Security
Council due to the recent attack on Vice-President Alexander Ankvab,
RIA Novosti reports.


Ankvab’s house was attacked with an RPG-26 on the night of September
22-23 at 02.15 (Moscow time) in the Gudautu district.


Ankvab was wounded but his life is not threatened. It was the fifth
attack on the vice-president.


Bagapsh said that he is heading to Gudautu and then he will attend the
Security Council. The police of Gudautu and Garsk are investigating
the incident.
