Georgia wants to keep Abashidze-Karasin format of negotiations

Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani said that the format of negotiations between Special Envoy of the Georgian PM Zurab Abashidze and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin should be continued, despite differences over cooperation of Russia and Abkhazia, RIA Novosti reports.Georgian State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Paata Zakareishvili expressed a similar opinion, assuring that negotiations should not stop even in the most complicated period of relations.The Russian-made agreement on cooperation and integration was introduced to the Abkhaz parliament. The document stipulates formation of joint armed forces. The Georgian president demanded the parliament to develop a position immediately and summoned an urgent meeting at the Security Council. The parliament cancelled the meeting of Abashidze and Karasin.
