Turkish cameraman arrested for liquor in Iran

 

Turkish cameraman Cetin Tunca, notable for working on 127 films, has been arrested at the Tabriz Airport in Iran for having a bottle of liquor among his belongings. He will spend two months in an Iranian prison, RIA Novosti reports.Tunca is a teacher at the Mimar Sinan Art University of Istanbul.Alcohol is illegal in Iran. Consumption of alcohol is legal in Turkey. Iran has the 3rd highest alcohol consumption per capita in the Middle East. Lebanon and Turkey are the top consumers.
