Police officers who lost two convicts to go on trial

Police officers who lost two convicts they were transporting from Yessentuki to the investigative detention center in Pyatigorsk are to go on trial. It is alleged they did not put handcuffs on the convicts and did not isolate them properly, allowing the convicts to escape, TASS reports.

The officers may get a year of penal work or three months under arrest.
