Ukrainian president believes in progress in gas talks

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko says he hopes Russia and Ukraine will manage to find a compromise solution to the ongoing gas controversy during the next round of talks scheduled for Wednesday, Gazetra.ru reports.

"It seems probable that the compromise will be reached on Wednesday," Poroshenko is quoted as saying.
