Ingush leader comments on young people of Caucasus

They should improve Russia’s authority by demonstrating cultured conduct, he added. The Ingush leader emphasized that the older generation should encourage younger people to represent their region well.
Yevkurov expressed disappointment with complaints about the improper behaviour of some people from the Caucasus and said that such incidents were a shame on the whole region.
He pointed out the need to help educated youth by promoting good students. Yevkurov said that the government should assist scholars going for PhD degrees or Nobel Prizes, working on science projects. Stress should not be put on A-graders, many good students get low marks but show proper behaviour, he believes.
Yunus-Bek Yevkurov expressed satisfaction with the interest of youth in technical specializations. Economics, finance and law used to be the most popular sectors three years ago. Young people today want to work as machinists, carpenters. Yevkurov added that there were more people willing to engage in state administrations, municipalities.
