Yeni Azerbaijan' member drops out of parliamentary elections

A member of 'Yeni Azerbaijan' party (YAP), Aydyn Gasanov, has stepped
down as a candidate at the 67th electoral district in Jalilabad, APA
reports, citing a statement by him.

The reason for the decision is that a family member needed to be sent
for medical treatment and YAP had a different candidate from the
electoral district. Gasanov said that he will support this candidate.

Vestnik Kavkaza had reported that YAP authorities were in discontent
due to several members self-proclaiming their candidatures for the
elections, violating the authorities' decision. YAP warned that it may
exclude them from the party.
