"When the president addressed the Parliament on 16 September regarding the urgent adoption of the law on special status and amnesty, the Parliament supported him, because this was the implementation mechanism of the Minsk agreements. However, he (Poroshenko) lingered for two months with the signing of this law, although the law on lustration was signed immediately. In addition, the amnesty law in general has not been signed yet," Oleynik is quoted by TASS. The MP also called attention to Kiev's failure to comply with the legal order of local elections in the eastern regions of the country. "The other day, the President said that the elections should be held on December 7, but we are all well aware that, according to the law on local elections, the campaign should begin two months before election day. Then how is it possible to hold elections on December 7, when the timing of the election campaign has long expired?" Oleynik asked.
