UN summit adopts program on millennium development goals

A plan of measures against poverty was adopted at the end of the UN
Summit on the Millennium Development Goals. Eight main goals to
achieve by 2015 were formulated. New obligations concerning poverty,
hunger, and disease prevention were adopted.
