Medvedev says sanctions must provide impulse to development of agriculture in North Caucasus Federal District

At a meeting on the development of the North Caucasus Federal District, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev called for the sanctions to be used against European agrarians and to provide an impulse to the development of agriculture in the Caucasian republics.He reminded that all these directions are characteristic and absolutely organic for the republics of the North Caucasus and Stavropol Territory. Overall production nevertheless leaves much to be desired. According to statistics which the prime minister cited, today in the all-Russian output of these products the share of the North Caucasus fluctuates from 6% to 14%.
