Azerbaijani Ambassador gives interview to Armenian media

The Azerbaijani ambassador to Russia, ex-Culture Minister and People’s Artist of Azerbaijan, Polad Bulbuloglu, attended a CIS youth symphony orchestra concert, conducted by Vladimir Spivak, in Yerevan, together with his Armenian counterpart.

Mr Bulbuloglu gave an interview to a correspondent of AZG Daily. Their conversation touched on various subjects concerning culture and art, but it is the question of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations that weaved its way throughout the whole interview. The ambassador approached the issue from an historical point of view, stressing the fraternal
relations of the two peoples, encouraged in the USSR and even in more remote times, and shared his personal point of view on the subject. Polad Bulbuloglu expressed his hope and conviction that Armenia and Azerbaijan will find a way to work the situation out soon, because there is no real abyss between the two cultures.
