ISIS adopts currency

ISIS plans to adopt golden and silver dinars of the Medieval times as the currency on the territory under its control. Their circulation should start in Syria and Iraq in a few weeks, Lenta.ru reports.

The dinar is the official currency in Algeria, Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Libya, Serbia, Tunisia and the Republic of Macedonia. The dinar in the mentioned countries is not minted using precious metals.
