The Azerbaijan Press Agency (APA) is a private information resource in the Caucasus. It was registered in the Justice Ministry on January 8, 2004, and started work on November 16. APA is an independent, private information agency recognized at the international level. The agency publishes information in the Azerbaijani, Russian, English, Arabic and French languages via special bulletins and online. Its information blocks reflect operative information about the political, economic, social, cultural and sports life of Azerbaijan, news in the region and the world.

The agency offers general, economic, photographic and video news in five languages. It issues analytical bulletins on economics and politics twice a month. The main principles of the agency are operational efficiency, accuracy and impartiality. APA cooperates with leading TV channels, electronic and print media of Russia, Turkey, the Middle East, Ukraine, Georgia, the republics of Central Asia, the Baltic states, Moldova, European countries and the U.S.
