Turkish government is holding "comprehensive official talks" with jailed PKK leader, Abdullah Ocalan, World Bulletin reports.

Aysel Tugluk, who was a former MP from the banned Democratic Society Party (DTP) and the co-chairperson of Democratic Society Congress (DTK), is waiting for a permission to visit Mr Ocalan.

Previously a meeting between the government and the pro-Kurdish Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) was cancelled due to the mine attack in the southeastern province of Hakkari. However, the government declared that it may take place within a few days.

The talks focus on steps to be taken by PKK and the government after a possible ceasefire. Mr Ocalan "wants to see whether or not his words and messages will be kept, as there are still some groups in PKK opposed to negotiation."

According to the media, the issue of Kurdish autonomy is one of the subjects that the government certainly is not intended to make concessions about.
