Mayor of Dagestan’s Derbent resigns

The acting mayor of the Dagestani city of Derbent has resigned, RIA Novosti reports, citing the city administration.

Felix Kaziakhemedov will be replaced by Imam Yaraliev, who lost the October 2009 mayoral elections to Kaziakhemedov.

However, the polls were ruled invalid over mass violations.
