Several Georgians started a riot at the Korydallos Prison in Athens. The riot was provoked by the detention of an old woman who was trying to hand drugs to a relative serving time in the prison, RIA Novosti reports.

Over 20 prisoners broke a door and occupied a security room and the first level of the prison hospital. Three wardens were beaten. A SWAT team persuaded the prisoners to return to their cells.
